This Privacy Policy describes how our company Uboo Limited collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use or interact with our website (mobile and desktop versions) and the (collectively “Site”) or other means connected to the Sites (such as contacting our customer service team through chat or email). Below is a summary of our privacy practices. Our full Privacy Policy is below, or you can click the links to any of the points detailed in the summary table for more details.

  1. Information We Collect

We collect information about you that you provide to us when using the Site, such as your name, address, telephone number, credit card details, email address, accommodation name, location of accommodation and/or length of stay.

When visiting our site, we may also automatically collect certain usage information, such as your IP address, geographic data, country, search preferences related to specific searches, browser, and information about the operating system, application version, language settings, and the pages you have visited. If you are using a mobile device to access our site optimized for mobile devices, we may also collect information that identifies your mobile device, such as device ID, device location (with your consent), and specific settings and features of the device.

If you need to contact our customer support team or communicate with us through other means (such as through social media or communicate with your accommodation through us), we will also collect your information there.

When you submit comments about your accommodation or other ancillary services available on our website through us, we will collect information from you included in your comments, including your name and country of residence.

If you make a reservation with other guests whose data you provide to us as part of your reservation, or if you make a reservation on behalf of another person, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person or persons for whom you provided personal information are aware that you have done so and have understood and accepted how we use your information (as described in this Privacy Policy).

Accommodation partners may also share information about you with us, this may happen if you have questions about your pending reservation or if disputes arise regarding your reservation.

When required by law, we rely on the following legal bases for processing personal information:

  1. How We Use the Information Collected

We may use the information collected through the Site to:

  • Provide you with the requested services, such as creating a user account, processing and confirming your reservation, and communicating with you about the requested services (e.g., pre-booking or post-booking chat support (excluding credit card number)), special requests, cancellations, rewards
  • Send you email marketing communications about products and services that may be relevant to you
  • Conduct surveys or provide you with information about our services on our Site or on other websites that you may visit
  • Maintain and improve the site, adapt the user experience and for internal training
  • Protect your security and that of the Site
  • Exercise a right or obligation conferred or imposed by law, including responding to legal requests and demands

During calls with our customer service team, you can listen live or calls can be recorded for quality and reference purposes, including the use of recordings for claims management, practices, and fraud detection. If you prefer that your call is not recorded, you can display your choice by clearly indicating or hanging up. Call recordings are stored for a limited time and are automatically deleted thereafter, unless we have a legitimate interest in keeping such recordings for a longer period, for example for fraud investigation and legal purposes.

If you have not completed your online reservation, we may send you a reminder to proceed with your reservation. We are convinced that this additional service can be very useful for our clients because it allows them to continue with the reservation without having to look for the accommodation again or fill in the reservation form from the beginning. Reservation confirmation emails and text messages sent after making a reservation, as well as emails asking for accommodation feedback, are not marketing communications. These messages are part of the reservation process for your accommodation. Respectively, they contain information necessary for check-in or check-in at the accommodation, or tools to assess your experience, once the stay is over. You will continue to receive them, even if you have checked the option to no longer receive advertising messages. In the same way, choosing to receive Price Alerts will not affect other choices you have made regarding receiving information from us.

As mentioned above, if you are looking for someone else who will be staying at the booked accommodation, you also have the option to insert the guest’s email address to receive the booking confirmation and a separate invitation to complete an assessment.
